Business Analyst's Survival Guide - Website

What is it?

My next project is going to be an eCommerce website that will help aspiring Business Analysts and Salesforce Administrators navigate the intricacies and complexities of our field. This site will have a blog, helpful tips, and templates for sale that BAs can use in their day-to-day operations.

Templates? For what?

In this line of work, it's extremely important to stay organized and remember things. As it turns out, I have a terrible memory for enough things that I had to create a system to manage it. This is where templates come in. I use several templates on a daily basis to keep things in order and they help me keep multiple projects rolling at full steam. Some of these templates include:

1. Project Requirements Document (PRD)
2. Stakeholder Analysis Matrix
3. Use Case / User Story Template
4. Meeting Notes & Action Items Tracker
5. Change Request Log

Those are just a handful of the ones I use most, but there are plenty and they come in bundles.

WHY?

I believe that other people should be able to benefit from my vast experience and accumulated knowledge so they don't have to suffer learning everything the hard way. Being a Business Analyst is a highly challenging and rewarding role, but it can be harsh and unforgiving. I want to provide new people with a seamless experience and smooth transition into this realm. The more quickly you can get up and running, the more enjoyable this career is!
